Serial Port for Remote Desktop does not require any prior configuration. Being installed on local and remote computers it allows using local serial devices in remote desktop session.
Serial Port for Remote Desktop Workstation must be installed on the local PC, Serial Port for Remote Desktop Server must be installed on the remote side.
When both components installed, all COM ports available on the local PC will be listed on the tray menu of Serial Port for Remote Desktop Server in the remote desktop session. To redirect serial data from the local COM port, select it on the tray menu and click

Virtual serial port will be created on the server side and all the data written to it can be immediately read from the local serial port one and vice versa.It's very easy to check that all works fine. Just launch any software that connects to serial device in remote desktop session and it will operate as if the device is connected directly to the remote desktop.
